Jill Ann Hughey

Jill’s life began on September 18, 1944, the daughter of Everett and Fern (Harsh) Wichers in El Dorado. She graduated from El Dorado High School Class of 1962 and attended Butler County Community College. She married Lewis Wayne Hughey on February 21, 1970, in El Dorado. Jill worked for the Kansas Gas Service Company and also for Butler County in the appraiser’s office and in the data entry department. She enjoyed her grandchildren, friends, bowling, ceramics, playing Bunco, fishing and hunting.

Her loving family includes her sons, John Hughey and Jason Hughey; a brother and his wife, Jack and Julia Wichers; grandchildren, Jayme and Jaycob Hughey all of El Dorado.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lewis Hughey in 2007. Jill passed away in her home on Friday, April 14, 2017, having reached the age of 72 years old.

Her memorial service will be held Friday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m. in the Carlson Colonial Chapel with Pastor Stan Seymour officiating. Jill will be laid to rest at 2:30 in the Cassoday Cemetery, Cassoday, Kansas.
