Virginia "Ginger" Starr

Virginia “Ginger” Starr, of Towanda, Kansas, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the age of 95. Ginger was born on June 27, 1926 in Picher, Oklahoma to Acy and Flossie (Brassfield) Kimbro. Shortly after graduating high school, Ginger met and married the love of her life, Freddy Starr, on June 4, 1943. They shared 66 years of love and adventure together before his passing on July 12, 2009. During their marriage they enjoyed riding their Harleys and really enjoyed experiencing seeing the country from their motorcycles.
Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Acy and Flossie (Brassfield) Kimbro; husband of 56 years, Freddy Starr; brothers, Acy Kimbro and Don Kimbro; and sisters, Flora Johnson, Shirley Rhineheart, and Jeany Kimbro.
Ginger is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm at the Towanda Cemetery.
