Sharon Kay Thornton

Sharon’s life began on November 18, 1946 in Topeka, KS; the daughter of John and Ida (Roth) Bailey. She worked hard for her family as an aircraft sheet metal worker for Cessna and Boeing. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could often be found playing Solitaire and reading as well. Sharon had a heart of gold and would help anyone who asked. She was giving of her time and her love. Her greatest love was her family which includes her children Jolena (Philip) Holcomb of Kansas City, Kansas, Stormy (Tasha Creely) Cremer of El Dorado; grandchildren Tyffani “Missy” (Jordan) Herrman of El Dorado, Gabe (Chloe Fuzzell) Cremer of Cassoday, Trey Mauldin of Lawrence, Jordan Perkins and Nicolis Creely; great grandchildren Alawna, Aidan, Austyn, Ariah, Arianna, Alexis, and Axul; siblings Doris Moore and Alli Huebert. Sharon passed away on July 11, 2022 in Wichita. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15 at 2pm at Carlson Colonial Funeral Home. Sharon will be laid to rest at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado. Memorial contributions in Sharon’s name may be directed to United Way of El Dorado.
