LaVon Opal Tetrick

LaVon’s life began on December 30, 1949 in Newton, KS; the daughter of Elvin and Hattie (Ullum) Long. LaVon married Gene Tetrick in 1979. She worked hard for her family and loved them dearly. LaVon found comfort and guidance in reading her bible. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her family includes her children, Christine (Monty) Melugin of El Dorado, Kelly (Mandy) Tetrick of El Dorado, Michelle Frye of Wichita, grandchildren Tyler (Baylie) Melugin, Ashley Melugin, Blake Tetrick, Colin Tetrick, Ella Tetrick, Kade Frye, Brady Frye, Jackson Frye, Landy Frye; great grandchild Kayden Frye; brother, Lonnie Long. LaVon passed away on November 19, 2022 in El Dorado. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents, brothers Monty Joe Long, Lamont Long and sister Linda Ravenscraft. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2pm at Carlson Colonial Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date.
