Beverly Ann Heath

August 27, 1943 ~ October 2, 2021 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Tribute

Beloved mother and grandmother, Beverly Ann Heath, passed away on October 2, 2021. Beverly was born on August 27, 1943 in El Dorado, Kansas as the firstborn child of Maxine Louise Church and George Henry Counter. Beverly spent most of her life living on S Euclid in Wichita, Kansas. She worked at NCR and as a healthcare aid and spent many years as a cook. Beverly was a single mother of three children that she took care of on her own, Donna, Meme and Frank. She raised three strong hard-working kids she loved dearly. Beverly was famous for making a great meal with not much in the cabinet to choose from. She made sure her kids always had dinner. She could turn a terrible rental into a good clean home for her kids. She always took care of her father when he needed her as well as many others. She would take people in to help them and feed them. She truly had a loving and caring heart. Some of her favorite things that made her happy was caring for the grandbabies and swinging them on the porch swing. She loved visiting with her family, watching her beloved dogs, and watching the neighborhood squirrels from her porch swing. Beverly loved growing flowers. Watching her flowers grow and bloom brought her so much joy and happiness. Beverly had a love for music. She loved a variety of music, including Christian tapes, country albums and Motown!! Beverly loved reading her bible or listening to gospel shows on TV. She attended the Wichita Baptist Tabernacle for years. Beverly knew and had Jesus in her heart and soul. She faced many challenges in her older adult life, but she had the love and support of her family to help her seek the proper care she needed. After getting the love and support she needed, she could express her love and gratitude towards her children and began creating special memories that she cherished and her family will cherish for the rest of their lives. This brought her and them peace and love.
Beverly is survived by her three children, Donna (David Zeke) Wilson of Wichita, Kansas, Meme Schafer of Haven, Kansas, and Frank (Carolyn) Heath of Kingman, Kansas; grandchildren, Traci (Patrick) Terrill, Oliver Wilson, Shawnda (Brad) Denison, Trevor Heath, Jennifer (Paul) Myers, Suzanne (James) Maddox, and Dawn Schafer; great grandchildren, Alexis Terrill, Aaron Terrill, Stephan Villa, Oliver Wilson Jr, Oryin Pulaski, Corwin Davis, Joshua Denison, Rachel Maddox, and James Maddox; siblings: Donna (John) McCullough of Derby, Kansas and Ronald (Carol) Counter of Colorado Springs, Colorado; along with several nieces and nephews. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Maxine Freeby and George Counter; and grandchild, Kelly Ann Counter.
