Della and family,
I remember riding the school bus with Rick and the rest of the family. It was like having a big(gier) family knowing so many kids on the school bus.
Then we went to high school together. It was neat when you and Rick were dating while we were in high school. Then you got married. You could hear whispers all over the place. You could hear things like "Are they going to stay married.", or "Is Della pregnant.", or even "Is Della staying in school." You two did it and I know that as a class we have been proud of you two for the length of time you two had been married.
I also remember Rick playing basketball for Circle remember so much and so little space to write about Rick. He was a very good person and he will be missed by many people. God bless your whole family.

Wishing you wave after wave of comforting thoughts for your family. Julie...I know really very little about your family, but still so much, if that makes sense. Your kindness, your work ethic, your wonderful sense of right and wrong, your hopeful attitude,, how you raise your boys, .I could go on and on. These things you talk about your Daddy are present in you ,all day everyday! I am more than positive, you always have and always will make your Dad so very proud! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.. Much Love To You All.

I am saddened to learn of Rick's passing. I always felt a kinship with Rick reading his FB posts and sharing many of his religious and political beliefs. Your video tribute is lovely as you have so many memories of a man who will be truly missed. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you Della and all your family.

Rick and I played on the Benton Grade School basketball team. Of course, Rick was the Center. All we had to do was pass it to him under the net, he would drop it in. We hung out together and played a lot. We would arm wrestle a lot. He always won. I will miss that guy.
