Kevin’s life began on June 20, 1988 in Wichita. He is the son of Michael G. and Vicki M. (Coffel) Coash. Kevin attended Butler Community College, Wichita State University, Kansas University, and Bethel College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Education. He was a second grade teacher at Derby Hills Grade School in Derby. Kevin was a very talented musician, serving as a church organist; he enjoyed painting, writing poetry, gardening and kayaking. He had a keen intellect and had extreme interest in all religions and customs. His loving family includes his mother Vicki Coash of El Dorado, sister Melissa Coash and nephew Brodi Coash of El Dorado, grandmother Donna Coash of Concordia. Kevin passed away on June 15, 2017 at his home. He is preceded in death by his father Michael Coash, grandfathers Gene Coash and Harry Coffel and grandmother Helen Coffel. Kevin’s family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, El Dorado where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. led by Dr. Reverend Robin Abel. He will be laid to rest in Bella Vista Cemetery, El Dorado at a later date. Memorial contributions in Kevin’s name may be directed to N.A.M.I. Wichita (555 N. Woodlawn Wichita 67208).
