Helen’s life began on August 30, 1927 the daughter of William E. and Bessie E. (Young) Eastin in Beaumont, KS. She attended Leon High School and graduated El Dorado High School and attended Wichita Business College. Helen was united in marriage to Calvin Claycomb on December 16, 1946. They were married for over 57 years. She loved her family, enjoyed canning at the end of the gardening season, loved cooking family holiday dinners and attending luncheons with the SRS retired women on Fridays. Helen retired with 20 plus years of service at Social Rehab Services. Helen passed away on August 18, 2017 at Lakepoint in El Dorado. Her loving family includes her sons Keith Claycomb of El Dorado and Rick Claycomb of Beaumont. She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; brother Jack Eastin and her parents. Friends may gather with the family from 10-11 am on Weds, August 23 where a graveside service will be held at 11 at Blankenship Cemetery in Rosalia.
