Deborah’s life began on July 1st 1950 in Ludlow, MO the daughter of Charles and Kathryn (Yuille) Wolcott. She attended Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, MO.. She was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority at Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg. Deborah married Preston Smith on June 15, 1970 in Hutchinson. Deborah worked as a field administrator for Hydrochem for 17 years. Deborah passed away on April 12, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Her loving family includes her daughter Melissa Smith of Wichita; son Christopher Smith of El Dorado; grandchildren Easton Smith of El Dorado, Emma Smith of Augusta, Izzabela Smith of El Dorado; her dogs Lucy and Tuff; sister Charlotte (Roger) Phares of Mesa, AZ; brother Jerry Wolcott of Ft. Collins, CO; several nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Memorial donations in Deborah’s name may be directed to Deborah’s Dog Park Bench Memorial in care of Carlson Funeral Home.
