It is with great sadness that the family of Colin Peter Rowell announce his passing on June 20, 2017, at his home in El Dorado, KS. Colin was born to Albert and Margery (Brown) Rowell on June 24, 1962, in Ilkeston, England. Colin was united in marriage to Carol Marie (Griffitts) Rowell on June 20, 1992. The couple was blessed with the birth of their triplet daughters, Hanna, Shelby, and Sally on September 4, 1996. Colin’s family moved to Lawrence, KS when he was five, where he attended school and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1980. Colin attended Kansas State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering. He also completed his master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at KSU. Colin dedicated his professional career to the agricultural industry. He began his career with Kansas Farm Management and later transitioned to the banking industry. Colin recently found his way back to agricultural consulting with an opportunity to establish a new regional branch for Agricultural Resource Management, whose corporate office is based in Monroe, Louisiana. Colin was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed relaxing at the lake, boating and wakeboarding. Colin was mechanically inclined and loved to restore vehicles. One of his true passions was flying. He was a licensed pilot and found great comfort flying and tinkering on his plane.
